Jake Paul’s fight against Hasim Rahman, Jr. set for next Saturday, August 6th is off per his promotional company. He states that it is due to Rahman’s weight.
The team had agreed to bump up the weight limit for their fight from 200 lbs. to 205 lbs. However, per Paul’s team, today was the first day that Rahman’s side claimed that he planned to weigh 215 lbs next week and not the stated 205 lbs. It appears that there was a standoff as Rahman’s side claimed they would bow out if the fight night weight would not be pushed to 215 lbs.
And Paul just did that…
First Tommy Fumbled and now Hasim Rahman Crumbled. These boxers are the most difficult people to work with and continually lack professionalism and confidence to fight me.

Payout Perspective:
The cancellation means millions of dollars lost and the possibility of lawsuits. Amanda Serrano as well as other fighters on the card are losing out on a payday as well. The cancellation is a huge issue that will cause legal repercussions. One would think that Paul and his team thought this through otherwise its a huge public relations hit on him, not Rahman, who most casual boxing fans do not know.
