ONE Championship announces 2022 schedule on Amazon Prime Video

July 21, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

On Wednesday, ONE Championship announced its full 2022 schedule on Amazon Prime Video.  The first event takes place August 26th featuring Demetrious Johnson returning to face Adriano Moraes in the rematch for the flyweight title.

The press conference held in Los Angeles announced the events that will be available to the U.S. and Canada in prime time on Amazon’s digital platform.  The August 26th event will be held in Singapore but will stream in prime time on Friday night August 26th beginning at 9pm EDT.

The rest of the events for 2022 announced on Wednesday are as follows:

  • August 26 – 9:00 p.m. EDT – ONE on Prime Video 1: Moraes vs. Johnson II
  • September 30 – 9:00 p.m. EDT – TBD
  • October 21 – 9:00 p.m. EDT – TBD
  • November 18 – 9:00 p.m. EDT – TBD
  • December 2 – 9:00 p.m. EDT – TBD

Payout Perspective:

This is a big deal for ONE Championship which has made several attempts to make inroads into the U.S market but has yet to maintain a presence.  Events airing on TNT the last couple years have not produced much traction and this new deal is its best bet for attracting an audience.
