AEW Dynamite drew 969,000 viewers on Wednesday per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily. The telecast drew 0.40 in the A18-49 demo and was 2nd overall in the cable ratings for the night.
AEW aired from The Forum in Inglewood, California, its first time in the state. The telecast was second only to the NHL Playoffs on ESPN. The TBS broadcast drew 0.22 in F18-49, 0.57 M18-49, 0.25 A18-34, 0.14 F12-34, 0.24 M12-34, 0.46 A25-54 and 0.34 in over 50.
The telecast did better than last week’s 929K viewers as it hyped its PPV. With the fall out, it appears that fans tuned in to see what would happen next. Also, you might attribute the rise in viewership to the lack of NBA Playoffs on Wednesday.
