ONE announces streaming deal with Amazon Prime Video

April 27, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

ONE Championship and Amazon Prime Video announced a multi-year agreement for Prime Video to broadcast 12 live ONE Championship martial arts events per year.

The full live events will be available exclusively on Prime Video in the U.S. and Canada. No word on when the first event will take place but that announcement should be forthcoming.

ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong hinted at a deal coming and the deal provides the company with an anchor to enter the North American market. Previously, ONE Championship events aired on TNT but those telecasts occurred late at night, not enough marketing steam and received poor viewership.

Presumably, this deal should help due to the streaming partnership and the potential for events to be held in the United States. Its been some time since ONE Championship made a run at penetrating the U.S. market but this deal should be its best shot short of a linear network deal in North America.
