PBC on Fox Saturday (02.05) draws 963K

February 8, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

PBC on Fox Saturday night drew 963,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The telecast were the Prelims for the Fox PPV on Saturday.

The telecast drew 0.11 in the A18-34 demo, 0.19 in A18-49, 0.27 A25-54, 1.4 share in the F18-49, 2.3 M18-49 and 1.5 in over 50 category. The telecast went up against the start of the Winter Olympics on NBC and the NBA on ABC.

The telecast on Fox included a good fight between Omar Juarez and Ryan Karl ending with a split decision victory for Juarez.  Also, Fernando Vargas, Jr. stopped Kody Kobowski in the 3rd round of their 4-round fight.

Payout Perspective:

Slightly under 1 million viewers on a busy Saturday night is pretty good for PBC considering the number of events occurring on a weekend without the NFL.  The Winter Olympics and NBA on at the same time were stiff competition for boxing.  Also, there were two other boxing events on Saturday including a DAZN card at about the same time.  Unlike UFC Prelims, this show did not seem like one that would help persuade fans to buy the PPV.  However, they did see some good fights on Fox.
