UFC PPV prices now $74.99 on ESPN+

January 6, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC is raising its PPV prices in 2022 starting with UFC 270 on January 22nd.  Fans will not only need to be a digital subscriber to ESPN+ but will now pay $74.99 from its current price of $69.99.

In addition, the ESPN+ PPV Package which is offered to those purchasing event which includes a PPV plus a year subscription will increase from $89.98 to $99.98.

The ESPN+ subscription will remain the same this year at $6.99 per month and $69.99 per year.  The Newsday’s Mark LaMonica first reported the changes which were announced by Neo Media World.

At the start of 2021, ESPN announced that it would raise its PPV price from $59.99 to $64.99.

The UFC has been a driving force for ESPN+ as it has attributed to many subscribers to the platform.  Endeavor also praised the UFC as one of its industry drivers for the now publicly-traded company.

Payout Perspective:

The increase in PPV price will likely unnerve many fans.  But, like the other events, fans will continue to purchase the PPVs.  For those that have been following the UFC is having the best financial time in its lifespan and is now increasing profit margins with the bump in prices.  The argument of fighter pay is still a real issue as the UFC continues to pull in record money but the pay for its independent contractors remains flat.
