Top 10 of 2021: No. 3 UFC partners with Crypto.com

December 31, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC forged a deal with Crypto.com in one of the biggest partnership deals in the company’s history.  The deal, announced the same weekend, as McGregor-Poirier III in July was in the low 7 figures.

Crypto.com became the first-ever global Official Fight Kit Partner and the First-ever Official Cryptocurrency Platform Partner for the promotion.

It was the first time that the UFC sold the global rights to have its logo on all fighter walkout and in-cage gear.  Per ESPN’s sources, the Crypto.com sponsorship “is one of the most lucrative sponsorship deals the UFC has ever pulled off.”

UFC PPVs have had Crypto.com commercial starring Matt Damon and fighter kits have the Crypto.com name across their chest.

In addition to the branding, Crypto.com and the UFC have issued NFTs for fans to purchase.

Crypto.com is making a big play in branding as exemplified by replacing Staples Center in LA as the naming rights partner for the venue that houses the Lakers, Clippers, Kings and more.

We shall see where this sponsorship goes, but it is in tune with the forward-thinking of the organization.
