Top Rank Boxing prelims Saturday draw 486K

November 25, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Top Rank Boxing Prelims on ESPN2 drew 486,000 viewers Saturday night prior to the ESPN+ PPV featuring Terrence Crawford and Shawn Porter.  It drew 139,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.

The Top Rank Prelims began late due to college football but ran from 7:18pm ET up until the 9:00pm ET PPV.

The telecast drew a 0.29 household viewership.

With news that the PPV drew 190,000 buys on ESPN+ its hard to say whether casual boxing fans tuned in and were persuaded or reminded of the PPV.  The ratings are pretty good for a Saturday night on the second ESPN network sandwiched in between college football but it does not look like it really contributed to helping the PPV buys.
