McGregor shares UFC 257 buy rate

Conor McGregor has once again shared the PPV payout he has received from the UFC.  According to the post, UFC 257 drew 1,504,737 buys.

McGregor fought Dustin Poirier on January 23rd in Abu Dhabi.  Poirier stopped McGregor in the 2nd round of their fight.

Per the report, the projected buys was 1,500,238 but increased with the collected reported buys.

A rough estimate would have the PPV grossing over $100 million. 

Payout Perspective:

The PPV buys would mean a hefty upside for McGregor considering he received a portion of the buys.  The payout reflects two things.  First, the UFC is making a lot of money and has not been hurt from moving events to Abu Dhabi or lack of crowds at The Apex.  Also, it’s easy to see why Conor McGregor is one of the highest paid athletes in the world.  Despite the losses, McGregor is a top draw that brings in PPV purchasers.
