UFC 265 attendance, gate and bonuses

August 7, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC 265 took place on Saturday night at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. In the main event, Cyril Gane defeated Derrick Lewis to win the interim Heavyweight title.

The Performance Bonuses went to Gane, Jessica Penne, Miles John and Vincente Luque. Also, Bobby Green and Rafael Fiziev earned Fight of the Night. Gane was not on the original list of winners but Dana White was lobbied into it post-event.

The Toyota Center in Houston, Texas held the event which drew 16,604 for $3.46 million per Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.

Payout Perspective:

It was a good night of fights and despite the resurgence of a coronavirus variant, the event was a sell-out. The fans do provide an ambience to the fights. Gane and Ngannou will be a big fight that will invigorate the French MMA scene since the both of them hail from France.
