The preliminary injunction hearing filed by Audie Attar against Manny Pacquiao will be heard on Friday, August 6th. According to ESPN’s Mike Coppinger the Court has issued a ‘tentative’ ruling which denies Attar’s request to halt Pacquiao’s fight against Errol Spence, Jr. on August 21st.
A judge has tentatively ruled to deny @AudieAttar’s motion to secure a preliminary injunction that would stop @MannyPacquiao from fighting @ErrolSpenceJr on Aug. 21. Fight is on as planned pending the official ruling that comes down tomorrow. Full story coming to @ESPNRingside

The preliminary injunction would bring a halt to the fight as Attar claims that Pacquiao breached a contract with Paradigm in which he purportedly pocketed an advance of $2 million.
Tom Brown and TGB Promotions has intervened in the lawsuit on behalf of Pacquiao and has responded to the papers filed by Attar. One of the main arguments against the injunction is that not only TGB and Spence would be harmed, but the ancillary businesses that have invested money and time in preparing for the event.
Attar brought this lawsuit against Pacquiao in June after he announced a fight with Errol Spence set for August 21st. He claims that Paradigm represented him and a fight with Mikey Garcia was set to happen but Pacquiao’s advisors interfered.
Payout Perspective:
MPO will have more on this once the ruling becomes official. There is a hearing at 11:00am PT on Friday to argue the motion. While the court issues tentative agreements, it gives parties a chance to defend its position before making it official. However, its unlikely the Judge will change his mind.
