UFC 264 is on pace to be one of the top gates in the promotion’s history as Dustin Poirier faces Conor McGregor in their third fight against one another. The event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas sold out when tickets became available and it is the fourth consecutive sell-out for the UFC since fans were allowed back into the arena.
The UFC has not had a problem with fans returning as it has sold out each event it has held since announcing the return of fans. UFC 261 in Jacksonville, UFC 262 in Houston and UFC 263 in Glendale all sold out to eager fans of the company.
UFC 264 is no surprise considering it to be the first return to Las Vegas for the UFC since the pandemic shutdown and that it will feature Conor McGregor in a hotly contest feud with Dustin Poirier.
Top MMA Gates in Nevada (per NAC)
- Khabib-Conor 10/06/18 – 17,835, gate $17.188M (T-Mobile)
- Conor-Cerrone 1/18/20 – 16, 678, gate $11.087M (T-Mobile)
- Nunes-Tate 07/09/16 – 15,154, gate $10.746M (T-Mobile)
- McGregor-Aldo 12/12/15 – 15,648, gate $10M (MGM)
- Diaz-McGregor I 03/05/16 – 13,412, gate $8.197M (MGM)
Payout Perspective:
Whether or not Dustin-Conor III will eclipse Khabib-Conor is yet to be officially announced but I would assume that it will likely happen. With the exception of UFC 200, McGregor is the constant in the top 5 MMA gates of all-time in Vegas. This fight should break the attendance, gate and come close to a PPV record for the UFC.
