On Sunday night, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. took on Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition put together by Showtime PPV. Unfortunately for those wishing to pay the $50 for the event, there were hiccups with the stream.
As with other PPVs with tech issues, people took their troubles to twitter.
Wow @Showtime @SHOsports is down everywhere! Can’t even order the fight #mayweathervspaul

No matter what boxing fans may have thought of the event, the exhibition drew a lot of eyes to the fight and many purchasers of the PPV. However, many were not able to see it due to technical issues forcing Showtime to issue refunds.
Payout Perspective:
The technical issues are another reminder that there are still obstacles in the PPV space. The tech glitches and refunds will likely hurt the bottom line of an event that will do well if you believe the social media reporting on the popularity of this contest.
