Shields, Harrison and MacDonald Headline debut of PFL NFTs

June 3, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Professional Fighters League is offering digital collectibles per a company press release.  The Non-Fungible Token Collection will be released in conjunction with digital collectibles provider Fanaply.

The PFL NFTs will be for sale via action on the Fanaply web site.  The buyers will be purchasing the NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain.

Via PFL

The NFTs will be introducing two different types of NFT products.  The first will be “debut moments” which will show the first time a PFL fighter competed in the PFL and the second will be “championship moments” dedicated to winners of each weight class in the 2021 PFL season.

Claressa Shields’ MMA debut on Thursday, June 10th will be the first “debut moment” NFT while Rory Macdonald’s debut will debut on June 17th.  Kayla Harrison will have an NFT that will drop on June 21st.  According to the press release, each of the NFTs will be a 30 second video and come with signed PFL MMA gloves with a personalized inscription of their choosing.

Payout Perspective:

The PFL has been on top of this new digital marketplace from the start as it had marketed tokens earlier in the year to its fans which were extremely popular.  Despite a slight downward trend in the market, NFTs are still a solid investment and another sign of the extension of the collectible market.
