The Legal Submission takes a look at a promoter v. boxer lawsuit. This time Canadian heavyweight Mladen Miljas has filed a lawsuit against his promoter Greg Cohen.
Miljas seeks to break his contract with Cohen claiming that the promoter did not provide him with a suitable amount of fights and those fights were not against quality opponents. Notably, one of those opponents was a former MMA fighter.
Citing the promotional contract, Miljas attempted to notify Cohen via a cure provision in the contract. However, Cohen denied a breach occurred.
