Face coverings, check-ins part of safe return to crowds at upcoming UFC events

April 23, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC announced earlier this week that O2 Industries will provide face coverings to fans attending UFC 261 and 262.  The events will be the first to have capacity crowds in the arena.  The masks will be free of charge. This is in addition to the company partnering with Clear for use at this Saturday’s UFC 261.

In addition, the UFC and O2 Industries will be donating 5,000 Tactical Respirators to the American Red Cross.

Clear produces Health Pass, a free, mobile experience that securely connects a user’s verified identity to multiple layers of COVID-19 health information to help reduce public health risk.  At UFC 261, ticketholders will be required to fill out a questionnaire prior to entering the arena.

Payout Perspective:

You may have noticed that O2 Industries is also sponsoring this event’s Embeddeds.  The extra measures of offering face masks and mobile check-ins seemingly provide some level of safety at a time when COVID-19 exposure rates are still high despite the availability of a vaccine.
