Penne-Goldy postponed due to COVID-19

March 25, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Jessica Penne’s long-awaited return to the Octagon will have to wait.  Her strawweight fight with Hannah Goldy was removed from this Saturday’s UFC 260 card after Goldy tested positive for COVID-19.

Goldy posted on Instagram that she had flown out to Vegas for the fight this Saturday but tested positive for COVID-19.  The fight is being rescheduled for April 17th on the UFC Fight card that weekend.

Penne returns from an almost four-year layoff due to injuries and a USADA suspension that was subsequently resolved.

The postponement marks another UFC fight that has been affected due to COVID-19.  William Knight was taken off of the card due to a positive COVID-19 test and replaced with LFA light heavyweight champion Fabio Cherant to take on Alonzo Menifield.
