Smackdown draws 2.2M viewer average (1.29.2020)

January 30, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

WWE Friday Night Smackdown on Fox drew 2.294 million viewers in the first hour and 2.161 million viewers in hour 2 per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The event scored well in the young demos.

Smackdown’s last show before Sunday’s Royal Rumble drew a 0.6 share in the A18-49 demo as well as 0.8 in the A25-54 demo in the first hour.  It dropped slightly to 0.7 in the A25-54 demo in hour 2.  It drew a 5 share in the first hour and a 4 share in the second hour in M18-49.

The ratings were slightly down from last week but still maintained an average above 2.2 million.

Payout Perspective:

Not as robust a network viewing audience this past Friday as the normal CBS lineup opposite Smackdown won the night but with MacGyver drawing 3.7 million and Magnum P.I. drawing 4.3 million in the 8 and 9pm time slots.  Also, a replay of Shark Tank on ABC in the 8pm time slot drew a very good 3.58 million viewers.
