PBC on Fox draws 789K average day after Christmas

December 28, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

PBC on Fox Saturday night posted meager ratings for its day after Christmas show.  The telecast drew 787,000 viewers in the first hour and 792,000 in the second hour.

The event featured David Morrell, Jr. as he defeated Mike Gavronski via third round KO.  Also, on the card, Juan Macias Montiel defeated James Kirkland via KO in the first round.

Last month’s PBC on Fox drew 982,000 viewers.  Obviously, with the holiday and lack of promotion, this was not going to be a good night ratings-wise for PBC on Fox.

Payout Perspective:

Despite the impressive performances, this card was destined to do poorly considering it was the day after Christmas and there was little promotion of this event. It is worthy to note that the day before, WWE Friday Night Smackdown drew the strongest ratings of its time on Fox.  Perhaps an anomaly.  But its worthy to note that on Saturday without UFC or any other combat sports on Saturday, PBC on Fox drew poorly.
