Jake Paul finds another opponent in Askren

December 23, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Jake Paul is returning to the boxing ring as he is slated to take on former MMA fighter Ben Askren in a boxing match in Los Angeles this March.

Although no actual official announcement, it appears that Askren made it known that he accepted Paul’s challenge.

Paul is coming off a successful knockout of former NBA star Nate Robinson last month on the undercard of the Mike Tyson-Roy Jones, Jr. exhibition.

Since then, Paul has tried to fight Conor McGregor and also went at Dillon Danis in an effort to coax them into a showdown.

At this point, he’s going to settle for Askren who retired from the UFC in October 2019.

Payout Perspective:

The matchup does not make sense if you are a fan of MMA and want to see Paul get a comeuppance.  Askren is retired and is known for being a grappler, not a boxer.  While Paul’s fame has been on YouTube, he has trained in boxing. One would suspect more than Askren.  If you were to ask me, this is working out well for Paul.

They did this for Khabib in his last fight

hayjive @hayjivepicks

Never seen such blatant corruption at a championship weigh in. Khamzat is one of the last to the scales and it takes all of 3 seconds for commission to shout “185” he doesn’t touch the scale at all, scale doesn’t even settle. Just gives him the weight. Insanity…

It is comical the UFC can be the most political sports organization in the history of American sports for clear aims (Ali Act, WH event) while promoting a candidate w/ the most extreme agenda in 50 years and when called to task for that help, pretend they're helpless observers.

Ali Wong's ex-husband got off easier than Russini's current husband.

Now that this Vrabel-Russini thing is full blown, will DC chill tomorrow on the #UFC weigh-in show with Sanko or no
