Mike Tyson and Roy Jones, Jr. will receive big paydays as a result of Saturday night’s fight.  The two reportedly will receive $1 million per the California State Athletic Commission although its clear they will receive more.

The California State Athletic Commission disclosed payouts from Saturday’s event which had Tyson and Jones, Jr. receiving $1 million each for their exhibition.

Second in payouts were Jake Paul and Nate Robinson drew $600,000 each.

The rest via Jed I Goodman:

Tyson: $1M

Jones Jr: $1M

Paul: $600

Robinson: $600

Badou Jack: $180K

McKernan: $20K

Ortiz: $16K

Segawa: $8K

Gonzalez: $15K

Vazquez: $6K

Cusmano: $15K

Corbin: $9.5K

According to Kevin Iole, Tyson made $10 million while Jones made around $3 million.

Payout Perspective:

It was a gamble to have this event but it appears that it was a success. The exhibition ended in a draw although that was likely pre-determined but it was a good showing considering the possibilities for it to go wrong.

Yes, the Pulitzer-winning journalist is the source we should ignore, not the people who continue to want access to the LA sports team they cover. This was a dumb thing to think and an even dumber thing to tweet.
