UFC on ESPN 17 draws all-time low of 429K viewers

November 10, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

On a day dominated with Election programming, UFC Fight Night on ESPN featuring Thiago Santos and Glover Teixeira drew 429,000 viewers.

The event aired on Saturday night 10:11pm ET (due to overrun) and scored a 0.15 household rating. It drew 194,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo.   It is the lowest output for a UFC event on the main ESPN channel this year and the lowest ever for a UFC on ESPN card.  The telecast was the 69th overall program on cable Saturday.

Main Cards on ESPN since May 2020

UFC on ESPN 8:  1.198M

UFC on ESPN 9:  1.021M

UFC on ESPN 10:  908,000

UFC on ESPN 11:  912,000

UFC on ESPN 12:  1.07M

UFC on ESPN 13:  536,00

UFC on ESPN 14:  908,00

UFC on ESPN 15:  869,000

UFC on ESPN 16:  1.097M

Payout Perspective:

The event was buried on a Saturday night with college football and election news.  Also, after a run of weeks of UFC, the ratings might reflect a level of weariness for a card with not a lot of notable names for the casual viewer.
