AEW 753K, NXT 644K

October 22, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

AEW Dynamite drew 753,000 viewers on Wednesday night while NXT drew 644,000 on the USA Network.  Both telecasts were affected by the World Series on Fox which drew close to 8.5 million viewers.

Via AEW

AEW drew 0.39 in the M18-49 demo, 0.30 in A18-49 and 0.28 in over 50.  NXT did not get into the top 50 in cable this week so its extended demos were not available on ShowBuzz Daily>  It did show a 0.16 rating in the M18-49 demo.

Payout Perspective:

We are getting into election season as you can tell that the top 11 out of 12 shows in cable on Wednesday were news shows.  Real Housewives on Bravo was the only non-news show.  AEW was 13th.  Still, for those not wanting to hear about news, the World Series on Fox drew 8.3 million viewers in the first hour of its telecast in the 8-9pm slot.  Notably, AEW decreased by 73,000 viewers from last week while NXT took a drop of just 7,000.
