Charlo Bros PPV draws 100K per report

October 3, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Athletic reports that Showtime’s PPV last Saturday featuring the Charlo brothers in co-main event fights drew 100,000 buys.  According to Mike Ccoppinger,  there is a possibility that the PPV could go as high as 120,000 buys.

It was the debut for Jermall and Jermell Charlo as featured boxers on PPV and they delivered with outstanding performances.  However, the PPV ran up against the UFC 253 PPV.  According The Athletic the UFC 253 PPV drew 700,000 worldwide buys.

Payout Perspective:

Not the biggest buy rate for Showtime but probably not expected as the Charlo Brothers are solid fighters that have been on PBC on Fox telecasts but the casual viewer was weary of paying $75 for the telecast.  There is also the fact that there are 2 other quality PPV boxing cards coming up later this year.  The good news is that their fight served notice that they were PPV-worthy.

Dana White is such a MAGA stooge. He runs around every podcast talking about how he’s “not political” and how Donald Trump is “just his friend,” all while asking that same friend to help him write off more gambling losses and throwing him a UFC fight in front of the White House

New: UFC President Dana White has sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking him to help reverse the 90 percent limit on gambling loss deductions for US taxpayers that became law last year.

The issue has been a concern for both bettors and the gambling industry itself.
