UFC head Dana White is slated to speak at the Republican National Convention on Thursday. White has contributed to the Trump campaign.
White, a friend of the president, spoke at the 2016 RNC Convention. Trump appeared in a video during UFC 249 in May as the UFC was one of the first companies to return. Also, UFC Fight Pass produced a documentary on Trump. The President hosted White and Colby Covington as well. Eric and Donald Trump, Jr. attended Covington’s fight against Robbie Lawler in Atlantic City, New Jersey last August.
According to public records, White has donated $1 million to a Pro-Trump Super-Pac. More recently, he donated to the Congressional campaign of Republican Dan Rodimer. Notably, he was a former WWE Tough Enough contestant and professional wrestler.
Payout Perspective:
Expect glowing praise of the President and some sort of thank you related to allowing the company to get back to work so soon. Certainly, it will not hurt to cast dispersions on the media as White and the President love to do.
