AEW 773K, NXT 707K

July 30, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

AEW scored another ratings victory on Wednesday night drawing 773,000 viewers while rival NXT moved closer with 707,000 viewers.

The telecast head-to-head had AEW winning the younger demo while WWE retained the over 50 category.  Notably, the viewership disparity in the M18-49 demo grew wider for AEW as it opened a big lead over its time slot counterpart.  Conversely, NXT also has a wider lead in the over 50 category.

AEW on TNT drew a 0.30 in the P18-49 demo, 0.22 F18-49, 0.39M18-49, 0.19A18-34, 0.15F12-34, 0.16M12-34, 0.34A25-54, 0.27 over 50.

NXT on USA drew 0.18 in the P18-49 demo, 0.14 F18-49, 0.22M18-49, 0.09A18-34, 0.08F12-34, 0.10M12-34, 0.22A25-54, 0.37over 50.

Payout Perspective:

Its clear that the WWE’s NXT does not do well with younger people but very good with people over 50.  Meanwhile, AEW has a huge chunk of the younger audience although not as good with the over 50 crowd.  The ratings reflect that younger kids are not into NXT as it barely draws a blip with teens.
