NXT 786,000, AEW 633,000

June 26, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

WWE’s NXT scored a rare ratings victory up against AEW on Wednesday night.  NXT on USA drew 786,000 viewers while AEW on TNT saw a ratings drop to 633,000.

AEW still won the younger demos with 0.22 A18-49, 0.15 F18-49, 0.29 M18-49, 0.12 A18-34, 0.08 F12-34, 0.12 M12-34, 0.27 A25-54, 0.26 over 50.

NXT drew 0.19 A18-49, 0.15 F18-49, 0.23 M18-49, 0.10 A18-34, 0.10 F12-34, 0.13 M12-34, 0.22 A25-54 and 0.42 in the over 50 category.

Notably, NXT has a command in the over 50 category while AEW does better in the M18-49 category.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings race had been close the last couple of weeks and NXT finally passed AEW.  The upstart promotion fell with the viewership while NXT increased its viewers.  It will be interesting to see if the WWE product can maintain a lead as news of some talent and employees tested positive for COVID-19 this past week.
