Molonely leads Top Rank Payouts for 6-23 card

The Nevada State Athletic Commission reports the payouts from Tuesday’s Top Rank Event in Las Vegas. 

Andrew Moloney topped the payouts with $125,000 although he had to pay $37,5000 to the IRS according to the commission paysheet. He also had to pay a WBA commission sanction fee of $4,950.  In addition, Joshua Franco, who won the WBA Super Flyweight Title earned $75,000 but paid $3,450 for the sanction fee.

Payout Perspective:

The Australian, Moloney had to pay a stiff tax bill for his chance at the WBA title.  He still netted over $82,000 for the evening.  Both fighters in the title fight paid a total $8,4000 in sanction fees for the chance at the title.
