Top Rank Boxing draws 350K on Tuesday night

June 17, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Top Rank Boxing drew 350,000 viewers on Tuesday night according to Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily. The nearly three hour telecast drew a household rating of 0.13.

The main card featured Josh Greer taking on Michael Plania with the Filipino taking the victory over the American.  Plania earned a majority decision over Greer after he knocked the favorite down twice.

It was the third event on ESPN since Top Rank returned to the network for live events.

Top Rank 6/9              397,000

Top Rank 6/11            311,000

Top Rank 6/16            350,000

Payout Perspective:

The telecasts are featuring up and coming talent but not a lot of named fighters that a casual viewer would know about which may be hurting the viewership.  Also, the events starting early on the west coast may be contributing to the low turnouts on weeknights.  In comparison, the UFC is cleaning up with viewers on Saturdays with the return of its shows.
