AEW 701,000, NXT 592,0000

May 21, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

AEW Dynamite on TNT gained viewers this week as it drew 701,000 viewers as it gains steam heading into this Saturday’s PPV event.  WWE’s NXT on USA lost viewers as it drew 592,000 viewers.

AEW picked up 47,000 viewers while NXT dropped 12,000 this week.

AEW Dynamite on TNT had a household rating of 0.26.  It drew 0.31 in the M18-49 demo, 0.31 in the Adults 25-54 demo and a 0.28 in the over 50 category.  It was the 7th ranked cable tv program on Wednesday night.

WWE’s NXT drew 592,000 viewers and a household rating of 0.13.  It missed the top 50, landing at 53, so the expanding demos were not available.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings for AEW are promising considering it is loading up for a PPV this Saturday night.  While there were several injuries during the matches for AEW on Wednesday, one might expect an uptick in PPV sales as TNT is promoting the event with shoulder programming on Friday night in leadup to Saturday’s event.
