WWE Smackdown and RAW hit new lows

WWE Friday Night Smackdown drew an average of just 1.885 million viewers on Friday night according to Nielsen via ShowBuzz daily. The show drew a household rating of 1.24 and only 639,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo.

The ratings reflect a gradual reduction in viewership which seems to be due in part to the lack of a live audience.  WWE Smackdown drew a 0.5 in the A18-49 demo, a 4 share among men 18-49 and a 2 share for those over 50.  Once again, WWE SmackDown on Fox was a distant fourth to the offerings on ABC, NBC and CMS.  It is also losing ground in the A18-49 demo to Shark Tank, MacGyver and Magnum P.I. which drew larger viewership within the two hours that SmackDown aired.

Payout Perspective:

Notably, RAW on the USA Network drew 1.686M viewers on Monday night showing decreasing ratings in both of its television programs.  NXT on USA remains hovering around 600K to 700K viewers but the diminishing returns for both RAW and SmackDown have to be concerning for the company at a time when its experiencing
