Lawsuit filed against Dana White in sex-tape extortion case

April 5, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Joshua Ramos filed a lawsuit against Dana White and UFC Holdings, LLC on Friday in Clark County, Nevada for breach of an agreement related to a 2015 extortion case.  The lawsuit claims that White broke an agreement to pay Ramos for not disclosing an affair the promoter had with a stripper.

The stripper, Ramos’ girlfriend, was paid $200,000 by White for having sex with her.  Also, he flew her to Brazil for UFC 179 according to the report from the Las Vegas Review Journal’s reading of the lawsuit.  The Las Vegas paper described White as the victim in a $200,000 sex-tape extortion.

White provided a statement on the lawsuit:

“I just found out that a b———- lawsuit was filed against me yesterday. This guy went to federal prison for trying to extort me over five years ago. Now he’s hired a lawyer who is also a convicted felon, and he’s trying to extort me again for $10 million. He got no money from me last time and he won’t be getting any money from me this time. I look forward to the court dismissing this quickly so I can get rid of these scumbags forever.”

In January 2015, the FBI arrested Ramos and charged him with trying to extort $200,000 from White after UFC 179.  FBI agents videotaped the exchange of the money between White and Ramos during a late-night meeting at White’s office.

The lawsuit claims that White and/or the UFC did not go through with their part of the deal to pay Ramos cash in exchange for a guilty plea to the extortion. It also claims that Ramos did not demand money from White and his lawyers provided false derogatory information about him to the FBI to get agents to investigate Ramos on extortion charges.

Payout Perspective:

This is an interesting lawsuit for multiple reasons.  First, is how the FBI became involved in the extortion end of this case.  Second, the power that the UFC and White has in Nevada to get his name sealed in court records prior to the disclosure of the civil lawsuit.  Third, White does not deny the allegations of having relations with the stripper.  Fourth, how, if any way did White use the UFC funds to allegedly pay for the stripper’s services.  We assume that this was White’s money he paid for the entertainment but did he use company money to fund the trip to Brazil?  Obviously, this could implicate the UFC.  MMA Payout will have more on this once we obtain the lawsuit which has yet to been posted to the Clark County website as of Sunday morning.

Wait, is this for real? Trump spent $60 million of our taxpayer funds to host a UFC fight and then is selling UFC coin to line his family’s pockets. The Trump corruption swamp is a mile deep.
