Fox to offer WrestleMania on PPV

March 31, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Sports Business Journal reports that Fox Sports will offer WrestleMania this weekend through its apps and FoxSports.com website.  The two-night PPV will go for $59.99.

It will be the first time that Fox has offered a WWE PPV on its platforms.

According to the report from SBJ, it is the first of a larger programming deal with WWE that will see FS1 carry a pre-show around both nights of WrestleMania this weekend.  In addition, it will carry 22 hour of the company’s library content as well as bring back “WWE Backstage.”

FS1 will be carrying 22 hours of library footage on Tuesday nights starting with the 2020 Royal Rumble.

Payout Perspective:

The PPV offering seems to be a part of the larger deal which will see more WWE on FS1 as networks deal with the void of live sports content.  It would be highly unlikely to see the PPV buys register a dent since most people will watch on the WWE Network.
