Wilder-Fury2 payouts, attendance/gate sets record for HW fights in Vegas

February 23, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder fight Saturday night broke the record for the biggest attendance and gate for a heavyweight fight in Las Vegas. The event drew 15,816 for a gate of $16,916,440 according to multiple outlets reporting on the event.

In addition, the Nevada Athletic Commission disclosed the purse for Saturday.  While Fury and Wilder are going to make more than the reported amount, the purse money was the one provided to the commission.

Tyson Fury  $5 million  DEF

Deontay Wilder  $5 million

Charles Martin  $250,000  DEF

Gerald Washington  $275,000

Emanuel Navarrete-Martinez  $300,000 DEF

Jeo Tupas Santismima  $25,000

Sebastian Fundora  $40,000 DEF

Daniel Jason Lewis  $35,000

Javier Molina $35,000  DEF

Amir Imam  $35,000

Gabriel Felix Flores, Jr. $15,000 DEF

Matthew Conway $20,000

Petros Ananyan $30,000 DEF

Subriel Matias $50,000

Isaac Lowe  $7,500 W

Alberto Guevera  $10,000

Vito Mielnicki, Jr.  $4,000 DEF

Corey Champion $5,000

Rolando Romero $8,000 DEF

Arthur Ahmetoys  $7,000

Payout Perspective:

With such a huge build for the event, it would be disappointing if the event didn’t set some sort of record for attendance and gate. Wilder and Fury will exceed the reported $5M as Mike Coppinger of The Athletic reports that each have a $28M guarantee.
