Ticket demand for Jones-Reyes marginal heading into Saturday

February 6, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The demand for Jon Jones’ next title defense is good although not being in Vegas may hurt the tickets.  The good news, is that the get-in price for this Saturday’s UFC PPV event at the Toyota Center in Houston is an affordable $129.

According to secondary ticket website, SeatGeek, as of yesterday the average resale ticket price for UFC 247 is $295 which is 63 percent cheaper than UFC 246.  The average ticket resale price has fell 9% over the past 10 days.

There was much more demand for Jones’ last fight although that was in July at the annual International Fight Week in Vegas.

As of Wednesday night, the primary ticket seller, AXS, has tickets available for as low as $125 with a lot of the upper bowl still available. But, the area around the octagon is sold out leaving fans wanting a closeup action needing to visit the secondary market.

Payout Perspective:

Notably, the get-in price has dropped since Tuesday from $200 to $129. Obviously, the return of Conor McGregor made the clamor for tickets higher than this Saturday’s event.  Ticket demand might be down due to the fact that Jones’ opponent, Dominick Reyes is relatively unknown despite being undefeated.  Yet, with another title matchup on the card featuring 125 pound women’s champ Valentina Shevchenko, you would think tickets would be a much more hotter item.

Wait, is this for real? Trump spent $60 million of our taxpayer funds to host a UFC fight and then is selling UFC coin to line his family’s pockets. The Trump corruption swamp is a mile deep.
