McGregor will make $3M for his return at UFC 246

January 18, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

MMA Fighting reports that Conor McGregor will earn $3 million for his return to the Octagon on Saturday night.  His opponent, Donald Cerrone, will bank $200,000 to show and another $200,000 if he were to upset McGregor.

The salaries were disclosed by the Nevada Athletic Commission ahead of Saturday’s UFC 246.  McGregor’s $3 million payday is the same as that he made in October 2018 when he last fought for the promotion.  Although McGregor indicated he’d be making $80 million for the fight this Saturday, one might see this as speculation from the double champ.

In the co-main event Holly Holm will make $150,000 and another $50,000 if she were to beat Raquel Pennington.  Pennington will make $63,000 to show and another $63,000 to win.

The remaining payouts as disclosed by the NAC and obtained by MMA Fighting:

Aleskei Oleinik:  $75,000 show/$75,000 win

Maurice Greene:  $30,000 show/$30,000 win

Anthony Pettis:  $155,000 show/$155,000 win

Carlos Diego Ferreira:  $50,000 show/$50,000 win

Roxanne Modafferi:  $31,000 show/$31,000 win

Maycee Barber:   $29,000 show/$29,000 win

Andre Fili:  $55,000 show/$55,000 win

Sodiq Yusuff:  $27,000 show/$27,000 win

Tim Elliott:  $31,000 show/$31,000 win

Askar Askarov:  $10,000 show/$10,000 win

Drew Dober:  $55,000 show/$55,000 win

Nasrat Haqparast:  $25,000 show/$25,000 win

Aleksa Camur:  $10,000 show/$10,000 win

Justin Ledet:  $20,000 show/$20,000 win

Brian Kelleher:  $23,000 show/$23,000 win

Ode Osbourne: $10,000 show/$10,000 win

Sabina Mazo:  $12,000 show/$12,000 win

J.J. Aldrich:  $30,000 show/$30,000 win

In addition to the above payouts, it was reported that Claudia Gadelha will be paid her show money after her bout with Alex Grasso was canceled due to Grasso coming in over weight. Gadelha last made $50,000 and $52,000 at UFC 239. One might expect that she made $55,000 for making weight.

I should point out that according to those at TKO that the ESPN/MVPW boxing deal is a revenue sharing agreement similar to the original AEW/Turner deal in 2019 and not a full paying media rights deal which Top Rank had and wasn't renewed.
