Ticket demand tailing off for UFC 245

December 12, 2019 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC ticket prices for the last major PPV of the year are up slightly since the promotion’s last event in Vegas.  However, according to secondary ticket source SeatGeek, prices have been dipping for the last two weeks leading up to Covington-Usman.

The “get-in” price for Saturday’s event is $1o6 (as of 5:30pm PT Wednesday) although the average ticket prices if $454. The average price is 3% higher than the Diaz-Masvidal fight in New York last month which is somewhat surprising. Ticket prices on the secondary market have slipped 18% over the past two weeks according to SeatGeek, which tracks the prices on the resale market.

There are still tickets available through the primary vendor at T-Mobile Arena.  In fact, there are tickets on the floor available for $1,500 apiece.

Payout Perspective:

For a UFC event that has three titles up for grabs on the card, you’d think that this event would be a sellout.  Alas, with the holidays and Conor McGregor returning next month, it looks like there is an interest in the event, but not a ‘blockbuster’ interest that would sell out the primary market of tickets.  It will be interesting this January the ticket demand for McGregor’s return to the Octagon next month.

Didn't know this was a thing but delighted it is.

Conor McGregor is a horrible, despicable rapist wanker and he should be the shame of Ireland. Well done The Burren

Maybe they should just call it the Ariel Helwani award and give it to other MMA journalists?
