July 2, 2019 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Showtime Boxing Saturday night drew 379,000 viewers for the featured bout between Jermall Charlo and Brandon Adams.  The event scored 119,000 in the A18-49 demo and an overall share of 0.25.

The event took place from Charlo’s hometown of Houston amid a busy night in Houston sports.

Big sports night in Houston tonight. More than 112,000 fans in attendance at three events:
70,788 at Gold Cup soccer, Mexico vs. Costa Rica
35,082 at Baseball, Astros vs. Mariners
6,408 at Boxing, Jermall Charlo vs. Brandon Adams

The main event peaked at 434,000 viewers.

The other segments via Nielsen per ShowBuzz Daily:

10:05pm 226,000 viewers

10:19pm 262,000

10:39pm 277,000

10:55pm 379,000

11:50pm 279,000

Payout Perspective:

The event took place opposite the UFC event on ESPN and DAZN’s event the same night.  The event could have been buried an overlooked due to the alternative options.  The 379,000 viewers for the main event and peak are slightly above other ShoBox events on the network.
