December 13, 2017 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

MMA Junkie reports the payouts from this Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 123.  Marlon Moraes took home the highest disclosed payout of $146,000.

Moraes knocked out Aljamain Sterling with a knee.  For his troubles, Sterling earned $36,000.  Brian Ortega received $68,000 including a $29,000 bonus and Cub Swanson earned $76,000.

The payouts were disclosed by the California State Athletic Commission:

Brian Ortega: $58,000 (includes $29,000 win bonus)
def. Cub Swanson: $76,000

Gabriel Benitez: $28,000 (includes $14,000 win bonus)
def. Jason Knight: $31,000

Marlon Moraes : $146,000 (includes $73,000 win bonus)
def. Aljamain Sterling: $36,000

Scott Holtzman: $40,000 (includes $20,000 win bonus)
def. Darrell Horcher: $15,000

Eryk Anders: $28,000 (includes $14,000 win bonus)
def. Markus Perez: $12,000

Benito Lopez: $20,000 (includes $10,000 win bonus)

def. Luke Sanders: $12,000

Alex Perez: $20,000 (includes $10,000 win bonus)
def. Carls John de Tomas: $10,000

Frankie Saenz: $40,000 (includes $20,000 win bonus)
def. Merab Dvalishvili: $10,000

Alejandro Perez: $46,000 (includes $23,000 win bonus)
def. Iuri Alcantara: $39,000

Davi Ramos: $20,000 (includes $10,000 win bonus)
def. Chris Gruetzemacher: $12,000

Trevin Giles: $28,000 (includes $14,000 win bonus)
def. Antonio Braga Neto: $10,000

Payout Perspective:

The total payroll for the event was $866,000 with the former WSOF champ making almost $200,000 with the inclusion of his $50,000 Performance Bonus.  Moraes was making $90K and $90K with WSOF, but there’s likely more room to grow (read: make more money in the longrun) in the UFC.

Yes, the Pulitzer-winning journalist is the source we should ignore, not the people who continue to want access to the LA sports team they cover. This was a dumb thing to think and an even dumber thing to tweet.
