UFC 217 ticket sales have dropped on secondary market but average resale price is still $538

November 3, 2017 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Ticket sales are going well for Saturday’s UFC 217 but pale in comparison to last year’s debut in New York.  According to SeatGeek, as of Thursday afternoon the average resale price is $538 and the cheapest ticket on the resale market is $169 at Madison Square Garden.

According to SeatGeek, prices have dropped considerably over the past week form a median listing price of $542 to $380.  The average resale price for UFC 205 at MSG last November was $1,233 a ticket.

A look at ticket prices on Ticketmaster Friday morning has the get-in price at $106.00 for the upper sections of the arena.

Payout Perspective:

Despite the downturn in the secondary ticket market, this will be a big gate on Saturday night.  It’s hard to compare with UFC 205 last year since it was the debut of the UFC in NY and the company’s biggest star, Conor McGregor.  Add to that that many Irish fans traveled to come to the show and were craving tickets had the ticket market at a high crescendo.  I would imagine that many from Canada crossed the border to come to see the return of GSP but perhaps the demand is not as great.

@Josh_HokitUFC You’re gonna cry you were cancelled by the left for “free speech”. And then you’ll post 200 times a day on Twitter until fox and friends invites you on to “tell your story”. And after that you’ll run for congress and your campaign will be centered on white grievance.

This is

Real question. Was this announced or is there an intern somewhere that is taking note of ever fighter’s follow and unfollow?
