UFC welterweight Lyman Good was flagged by USADA for a potential anti-doping violation. The UFC announced the news on Monday and the former Bellator champion will be taken off of the UFC 205 card as a result of the potential violation.
Good, a native of New York, will not be able to face Belal Muhammad in his home state. The UFC will be seeking a new opponent for Muhammad.
The UFC issued its standard statement part of which reads:
The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Lyman Good of a potential Anti-Doping violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collected on October 14, 2016. USADA has provisionally suspended Good based on the potential anti-doping violation.
Lyman won his first, and only, fight in the UFC, a 2nd round KO over Andrew Craig in July 2015. He was 9-3 in Bellator and was the Welterweight Champion in 2009.
Payout Perspective:
Bad news for the former Bellator champ as he does not get to perform in front of his home fans.

People just don’t learn. Way too many juicers in the sport.

In other news Showtime just announced several good boxing cards to be done with PBC fighter. Is this a last gasp or a revival? I’d love to know what Showtime is paying. None of the fights are PPVs.

FF, there are a ton of juicers in ever sport, the great thing about the UFC, is that they are leading the way in US sports when it comes to testing. They have done a great job catching cheats. The issue, however is the fact that USADA is not suspending people properly according to their own policy. Guys like Jones and Romero getting off light by claiming tainted supplements is a joke and they need to resolve this. I bet Good gets the two years though.

PBC wasn’t mentioned once in the articles I seen, just regular Showtime fights, only a handful of Al Harmon’s top fighters weren’t mentioned like Deontay Wilder or Errol Spence Jr.
Amir Khan probably waits until early summer and fights Kelly Brook, Spike will probably have the likes of Lamont Peterson & Adonis Stevens

PBC is done. They are just delaying the inevitable.

Cutch, let me make you….aware.

With or without PBC in 2018, the show rolls on….however, the word is, PBC is close to a deal to move away from the time purchase model. If I were a betting man, I would say that CBS/Showtime would be leading, with FOX close second, and NBC third. I cannot see Spike or ESPN in the lead, nor Bounce.

Just propaganda. The ratings have been horrible, they have very little money left to promote the events. They would never get the contract necessary to sustain the purses/overhead. They also have to deal with lawsuits, fraud, etc.
That article was just a press release by PBC. It wasn’t some unbiased writer’s analysis. They are going under soon, unless someone else wants to lose more money.
