The UFC 204 Prelims drew 678,000 viewers on FS1 on Saturday night per Sports TV Ratings. It is the lowest rated FS1 PPV Prelims thus far this year.
The event, which was held in Manchester, England featured Brad Pickett and Iuri Alcantara in the final event of the FS1 Prelims. Alcantara won via submission. The event also was featured at the end of the PPV telecast.
The event also scored 368,000 viewers in the Adult 18-49 demo.
*Note that in the above chart UFC 201 aired on FS2 and not FS1.
The PPV prefight show which aired prior to the prelims on FS1 drew 277,000 viewers and 114,000 in the Adult 18-49 demo. The post-fight show which aired on FS2 from 12:25am-2:00am drew 37,000 viewers and 16,000 in the Adult 18-49 demo.
Payout Perspective:
The viewership was down which may be due in part to college football and the card. It is a decrease from the other prelims which have averaged over 1M viewers (minus 201 and thanks to some big cards this year). FS1 had bundled the prelims along with college football in its ads leading up to Saturday. However, it appears that a lot of the casual viewers watched college games.
UFC on FOX’s TV ratings have hit an all-time low in 2016 (created in 2011).
“The Ultimate Fighter” on FOX Sports 1 is having its least-watched season.
UFC prelims on FOX Sports 1 (for pay-per-view events) are less-watched in 2016 than 2015.

This was deleted before but numbers aren’t going down, they are just building super stacked PPVs cards every few months, every single televised prelim on UFC 205 is bigger than Dodson-Lineker, the last fight night, they also did a million just for a Cyborg card from Brazil two weeks ago, bit the sky is falling.
Ronda is back at 207 this year, GSP is rumoured for 206, these will both draw 750,000 – a million at least, the owners get more money from PPV.
There seems to be a pattern with UFC, its numbers seem to be going down across the board, except for McGregor. The promotion simply doesn’t capture the numbers that it used to, period. This is why the UFC has made a dash for niches and names like WWE wrestlers, bringing back Rousey, etc etc….the casuals simply don’t care without names and hype. The die hards are watching, but even the die hard numbers seem to have seriously fallen since the heydays back in the mid 2000s.
Im sure someone will come with the “but but but boxing this and boxing that”….this isn’t about that, this is about whats going on in UFC….WSOF is doing worse as well. Bellator seems to have caught a certain stride that puts its numbers on par with UFC. I wonder how many PPV buys this card did….

You are also ignoring how stacked 205 is, there are at least 7 non title fights that could headline a Fight Night or Fox card, that’s not counting the championship matches.

WSOF is doing worse because NBCSN don’t care, they just use it as cheap filler, if they really did care they wouldn’t schedule their next card head to head with UFC 205

First fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Second fight at T-Mobile Arena.
The fight you guys are talking about that did 6 million viewers had an attendance of 4,000, who cares.
Conor is more supported in the East Coast with more people with Irish heritage, this will be his fourth fight in 1 year, most people don’t have that type of money, not to mention he was scheduled for 200, so people may have bought tickets for that.
UFC 200 also failed to sell out T-Mobile Arena.
I bet UFC 205 prelims will be the highest maybe ever and the PPV will be close to 202 if not beat it. Plus Ronda vs Nunes co main Cruz Dillashaw or garbrandt will be huge. And if GSP is in Toronto with Cormier/Johnson all of these are millions in PPV. The UFC has surpassed boxing especially if 205 brings in 2 million ppv

More boxing t.rolls dominating the comment section again. They hate the fact that their sport is at an all time low, with the biggest ppv this year likely hitting around 300k buys while the UFC is breaking records year over year. Anyone saying the UFC’s numbers are down, is delusional.
Also, as I predicted when it was initiated and repeated despite all of the boxing fans on here relentlessly denying it, PBC failed miserably and will go under in 2017. Hahaha.
PBC had the most watched event of the year on TV.
Canelo-Smith was the most watched fight of the year globally so far.
PBC is done, and the only reason for that exaggerated number was because of the Olympics. If that was outside of the Olympics, it would have been mediocre numbers like all of the other PBC cards. This entire production proved boxing can not survive on a network, they do not have the US fan base anymore. The sport is dying in the US.
