Bellator 135 drew an average viewership of 607,000 viewers on Friday night according to Nielsen sources. It was the lowest output for a Bellator event this year.
In the main event, Marcos Galvao won the Bellator bantamweight title making Joe Warren submit to a knee bar. There was also an exciting undercard fight with Hideo Tokoro taking on LC Davis.
Below is a chart of the 2015 Bellator events:
The NCAA Tournament on TBS topped cable ratings on Friday night with Michigan State/Oklahoma winning the night with over 4.4 million viewers and a rating of 1.5 in the A18-49 category. Bellator 135 drew 0.2 in the A18-49 category.
Payout Perspective:
The current average overnight viewership for Bellator in 2015 is a little over 702,000. It’s clear that the NCAA Tournament played a part in the low ratings. We shall see how it does in a couple weeks with Will Brooks on top of the card taking on Dave Jansen.

horrible ratings
saldathief says
wow its taking a shit!
d says
PBC on spike = Bellator ratings. HAHAHAHA!!
Random Dude says
Just as I predicted…Scott Coker is killing Bellator. Everyone was excited for some stupid reason when Bjorn Rebney got fired, but Scott Coker is the worst.
Remember it was Bjorn who built up Bellator’s ratings and had it competing with the UFC. Now Scott has come in, gotten rid of the seasons, weekly events, and tournaments. Without the tournaments Bellator is just another shitty mma organization. None of the fights matter anymore without the tournament structure because nobody can force themselves to face the champion so why care about them at all. Winning doesn’t mean anything anymore just like winning in every other mma organization doesn’t mean anything.
saldathief says
bahha pbc broke 800k on its first spike show and what 3 million on NBC haha D keeps trying, but he is only is lying to himself for Dana hahaha hey what are those UFC fight pass numbers??? hahahahah in the toilet hahaha
duck says

Oh what’s the UK’s Matchroom Boxings fight pass numbers as well?
d says
“bahha pbc broke 800k on its first spike show and what 3 million on NBC haha D keeps trying, but he is only is lying to himself for Dana hahaha hey what are those UFC fight pass numbers??? hahahahah in the toilet hahaha”
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Bellator’s show with Bonnar-Ortiz(2 completely washed up has beens) did 1.8m viewers. HAHAHAHA!!! A million more than PBC. HAHAHA!! I actually misspoke, Bellator > PBC on Spike!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
SALDAQUEEF!!!!
Diego says
I think Bellator loses a some traction when they start jumping the schedule around. I never know from week to week if there’s going to be a Bellator show or not. Some consistency might help.

Duck try using google translate to get a better command on the English language before you try to write some illegible dribble. My point being if fight pass numbers are so good why don they report them. Dana all the sudden is talking big numbers hahahaha I hear below 50 k hahahah believe what you want!! 600k??? hahaha there are less then a million hard core mma fans just like I’ve been saying!!

“Duck try using google translate to get a better command on the English language before you try to write some illegible dribble. ”
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Your rants are beyond incoherent and you are accusing other’s of writing statements that are illegible? Unreal. You have zero self awareness.
“Dana all the sudden is talking big numbers hahahaha I hear below 50 k hahahah believe what you want!! 600k??? hahaha there are less then a million hard core mma fans just like I’ve been saying!!”
Well retard, he’s not reporting them, because as everyone knows here, Zuffa doesn’t release financial information of their company with the rare exception of a trivial argument with Quinton Jackson’s pay, etc. They never release their event numbers/revenue streams unless they are required to by the athletic commissions.
50k? Again, you are hearing voices. Go get a source you pathetic, homo, liar.
FightBusiness says
d- whose trolling. no ones talking boxing until you brought it up
FightBusiness says
saldathief- PBC didnt break 800k it got over 865k average viewers & peaked at 1 million
d says
That is a response to all of the boxing trolls on here.
865k viewers for a buy time show that cost at least 8m = massive financial loss.
Ortiz-Bonnar more than doubled this show on Spike.
FightBusiness says
d- you completely pulled that 8 million number out of your ass. how on gods green earth that card worth 8 million.
saldathief says
8 Million bahahahha thats what the UFC is spending to promote UFC 189 bahahahhaha
d says
Fagbusiness, of course I’m estimating, but something you aren’t aware of is the overhead these fights cost to produce.
The purses were approximately 2m. The buy time cost over a million. They have to promote the event, rent the venue out, taxes, licenses, insurance, etc. It may be less than 8m, but not much. When you have buy time deals and you are overpaying your fighters, you take massive losses. Where is the revenue? It is a long term play that won’t work. Even if the overhead was 2m, they still would be taking a loss.
d says
Yeah, they are spending 8m to make 80m. HAHAHAHA!! SAL hates the fact that this will be another big ufc ppv this year and could lead to the biggest ppv year for the ufc ever, revenue wise.
Eat that shit, Arum fag boy!
saldathief says
80 million? bahahaha on what fucking planet???? yea sure D! UFC is desperate hahaha Even lesner didn’t gross half that much you complete idiot!
d says
Hey jizz stain, the price for a ppv is considerably more now than it was for Lesnar, not to mention Lesnar absolutely grossed more than 40m. The price for a ppv is $50/$60 for comcast, $55/$65 for verizon now. Factor in the gate, sponsorship, int’l tv contracts-notably in Ireland/The UK/Brazil, and the fact that this is going to do a huge ppv number, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this grossed 80m.
Another day, another Saldaqueef retarded set of comments. He’s just a boxing paid fag.
The Greatest says
It didn’t cost 8m to promote PBC on Spike u idiot.
They barely ran any promos for it.
PBC on Spike is going to be the B-league for NBC, CBS, and ABC.
I dont think anyone was expecting Berto-Lopez to pull in crazy numbers. The fact that they did 1m on Spike is fine.
PBC on CBS this Saturday
saldathief says
oh please d bhahahahahahah
d says
Hahaha. The Gayest!!!
He can’t read, he thinks the only costs for an event is the promotional advertisement which wouldn’t matter anyway, because Spike most likely picked up the tab for that. He didn’t realize, the purses and time-buy was at least 3m alone. That doesn’t include all of the other affiliated costs. This did a dogshit gate and virtually no other revenue streams.
PBC on Spike is not the B league by any means. It is still the same organization, just with slightly lower named fighters.
PBC on spike did not do 1m, you again exaggerate because you are the Gayest. They averaged 800k. The peak was 1m. Nice attempt to cherry pick stats.
Bellator does bigger numbers with lower profiled fighters.
Haymon is taking massive losses in order to make a long play at an actual deal which will never come with these awful ratings. According to Dan Rafael, he’s expecting the numbers to progressively rise over time- which is ass backwards considering the ratings are always highest at the beginning. This has massive financial loss written all over it. He’s just banking on Mayweather-Pac spring boarding the ratings- as is the entire sport of boxing, which goes to show you how bleak the future of boxing is. They are desperately attempting to get to those 18-34 year olds, and they never will. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
d says
Saldaqueef!
TJ says
Will “Who?” Brooks is now a draw? Hahahahahaha!
