Television By Numbers reports that UFC on Fox 13 drew 2.27 million viewers in overnight ratings Saturday night. It drew a 3 share and 0.9 rating. It placed second in network viewing with the old holiday classic of Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer drawing over 5 million viewers opposing the UFC.
UFC on Fox Ratings
UFC on Fox 1: 5.7 million
UFC on Fox 2: 4.57 million
UFC on Fox 3: 2.25 million
UFC on Fox 4: 2.36 million
UFC on Fox 5: 3.41 million
UFC on Fox 6: 4.22 million
UFC on Fox 7: 3.3 million
UFC on Fox 8: 2.38 million
UFC on Fox 9: 2.9 million
UFC on Fox 10: 3.22 million
UFC on Fox 11: 1.98 million
UFC on Fox 12: 2.5 million
UFC on Fox 13: 2.27 million
Payout Perspective:
The ratings are off 10% from last December. The 2.27 million viewers do not account for the overrun from 7PT/10pm ET-7:30PT/10:30pm ET. The main event aired during the overrun so one might expect this number to rise here. Coming in second to the holiday classic cartoons on network TV is not out of the ordinary since this happened last year too. MMA Payout will have more on the complete ratings for the event as we get it.

bahahabahah D is desperate hahaha looks like its back to 7 eleven for the poor pathetic loser. Boxing had a huge weekend and a great year! What did the UFC have?? a really shit year across the board, the only good news it had all year was cm punk, HOW FUCKING PATHETIC!!!!! oh wait they sold out in Mexico hahahahaha
d says
Great year???? Boxing didn’t have a single ppv hit over 900k buys you fucking idiotic boxing paid troll and that is their strength- the big events. Their ppv is in the shitter, they had tons of ppvs this year and couldn’t even break 350k buys with fights like Cotto-Martinez. UFC in 2013 destroyed boxing in 2014 ppv wise. You know why fuck face? Because boxing can’t sell with multiple fighters like the UFC can. The only reason the UFC didn’t destroy boxing this year in terms of ppv, is because of the insane amount of injuries that scrapped or had replaced events.
You smell like shit and you are as intelligent as the turds you smell like.
FightBusiness says
D- The ufc did not destroy Boxing this year in terms of ppv. As a matter of fact Boxing may have even had more buys this year. Again, Pac’s last event only flopped because NO ONE knew who the fuck Algri was. And Yes Boxing could easily get 2.3 million ppv’s if they were on network TV. The finale of the Contender on NBC got over 6 million viewers
d says
Fighbusiness, you can’t read very well. I said the UFC in 2013 did way more ppv buys than boxing did this year. They did over 6m, boxing will barely break 4m this year despite the drastic increase in ppvs.
Your statements are laughable.
“Yes, Boxing could easily get 2.3 million ppv’s if they were on network TV”
PPV is not network tv. Maybe you meant to say 2.3m viewers, which is irrelevant because they do not have a deal with a station like FOX.
6m viewers in primetime on a network tv show’s finale is awful which is why it was cancelled.
FightBusiness says
D- I’m looking at 2013’s ppv numbers and it looks like the UFC had an estimated 6 million ppv buys and Boxing had 4.4 million. Pac only fought once last year so he could have given Boxing 5 million ppv buys had he fought. No excuses it was a great year for the UFC but outside of Anderson and GSP their numbers are average at best. The same could be said for Boxing (Mayweather & Pac) The only difference is they still have two years left in their career.
2014: Boxing 4.1 million ppv buys (Pac vs Star could have easily exceeded this), UFC 2.5 million. Had things gone perfect they would have done about 4 million also.
jjjjjj_ffffff says
even if you round a 2.27 up all the to a 3.0M viewers… these numbers still suck…no one watches MMA…
saldathief says
Lets count the Froch Groves 2 fight. ha ha, at least boxing has hope for a super fight what does the UFC have CM punk vs Rousey hahahahahaha
d says
FIghtbusiness, thanks for agreeing with me and only contradicting what I said with hypotheticals that didn’t happen. If you want to play what if….what if 80% of the ufc’s cards didn’t have their headliners scrapped? They would have destroyed them.
Literally everything you come up with is delusional and dead wrong. First off, Silva is still actively fighting, although I do agree, he probably will be retired in about a year. GSP is going to come back, everyone can see it, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he hung around for a few more years winning back the title. Mayweather has 2 fights left on his contract, which will end in 1 year and I bet you anything if he doesn’t lose, he will retire. If Pac loses, he most likely will retire. Both of these guys are on their way out. Only difference, mma can replace their stars and sell with multiple fighters, boxing can’t.
Also, for the ufc, their buyrate is going to be around 3m, you aren’t counting a few shows there. Boxing beat them by 1m buys and they had nearly every major fight cancelled. Haha. That is what it takes for boxing to beat the ufc. HAHAHA!
d says
Saldaqueef, you really like $17 ppv buys don’t you, you little fag. Even if you count them, that still only equates to around 350-400k buys for a us card, depending on what source you believe.
Sal sucks Arum’s dick on a daly basis.
saldathief says
Double D double!!! hahahahaha
FightBusiness says
D- The UFC didnt do 3 million ppv’s this year. My numbers are pretty accurate. Dont forget If mayweather fights Pac next year they will beat the UFC in total ppv buys because that fight alone will do over 3 million. Also the UFC doesnt have bankable young stars. Name me one young star in the UFC that can do 700k ppv buys consistantly? lastly Boxing charges more for there ppv’s. So they generate larger numbers at the gate as well. That means there buys are more impressive. You should no buy now Boxing always creates new stars. Its just a matter of time. Dont make comments similar to meathead steroid using Joe Rogan
d says
FIghtbusiness, you don’t read so well. You didn’t add the last couple of ufcs. If you add up the ppv’s on the blue book which are up to UFC 177, they equal 2.22m. That doesn’t include UFC’s 178-181. Those 4 ufcs absolutely push them over 3m for the year. Your numbers are never accurate.
HAHAHA!! If Pac fights Mayweather, they will probably come close to 3m buys, if they put it on ppv, and they still WON’T beat the UFC in 2015, because they can’t market with multiple stars like the UFC can. Remember in 2013, when they had a massive ppv do over 2m buys? Did they beat the UFC last year or come even close? NOPE!
Name me one young bankable star that boxing has that can do over 300k buys consistently? HAHA! The UFC has a couple coming up. Keep in mind, boxing is more dependent upon star power than the UFC is. They can sell with multiple stars, where boxing can not. Also, the only boxer that charges more consistently for their ppvs is Mayweather, who has 2 fights left. The biggest fights generate bigger gates, ie the top 3 fights maybe, outside of that, it is all ufc, because their is a major dropoff in boxing gates. Their buyrates are not more impressive because of the gates, or are you talking about how much the fights as a whole generate? Regardless, who is denying Mayweather’s fights make more money still? He’s gone shortly. Then what argument are you going to use?
Boxing creates new stars, but they won’t generate anywhere near the level of Mayweather again. Too much competition from the UFC, plus he is very difficult to replace because of his ability to sell a fight and the fact that he doesn’t lose. That is extremely rare in boxing.
Don’t make comments similar to Lou DiBella or any other boxing promoter that is an ignorant idiot.

Sal’s math is really good, he thinks 2 plus 2 equals 5.

Jesus isn’t coming, how did Klitschko do on ESPN?
jesus is coming says
lol klitschkos was picked up last second with no promotions no commercials against a bum … picking out one moment in time doesnt prove much .. espicially a heavyweight which fights outside the u.s who gets close to 11 million viwers on german tv … every prime fox ufc telecast has 100s commercials ”biggest card everrr blah blah” im big fan of both mma and boxing love ufc bellator and boxing .. boxing has many flaws 5 different channels like this saturday they way they split 2 cards hbo/shotime but stay both dd very well even splitting people .. dont know why yall go crazy about ratings ufc have many ups and downs same goes with boxing
d says
I saw the promotions and commercials. It bombed. Plain and simple. Deal with it.
Klitschko fought a bum? That is all he fights ever anyway. The HW division in boxing is dead.
11 m viewers on German TV is nothing compared to what it would be revenue wise in the US. The Germans are in a permanent welfare state.
saldathief says
Sat HBO boxing , thats pay TV for you losers, did avg 966,000 Showtime boxing at the same time did avg 762,000. bahahah thats a lot of paying boxing fans!!
