Payout Perspective:
Gilbert Melendez actually had the highest base and will gain some PPV points as well per the terms of his deal. Hendricks and Pettis were next on the list of top paid after Lawler. Notably the two fill-ins, Ashlee Evans-Smith and Justin Jones received only $8,000 each.

I wonder how much lawler spent on a steroid hGH couch to beat the test?? Melendez looked like he needed a shot of something he looked flat. Same old pay fight after fight no news here.

Cotto and Canelo will be both making 10 million when they fight. None of those gus are named Mayweather or Pac. Hendricks makes 200k. Ridiculous. MMA is drowing

Fightbusiness is once again proving his moronathon. Hendricks made much more than 200k. He got ppv points as did Melendez, and Pettis & possibly Lawler.
Cotto and Canelo are huge draws in boxing, the fighters from this card aren’t and once again, it is because they co promote their events, not because of the revenue generated from their fights.
What is really amusing, is the fact that the argument all of the boxing trolls made for years was that boxing has only a few ppvs per year which is why they do less buys than mma. Well, after this year of having more than double the amount of ppvs they did last year and doing LESS buys than they did last year, plus the ufc doing way more in 2013 than boxing did in 2014, they are realizing that bullshit angle was dead wrong. The only reason boxing had more buys this year was because of the injuries in mma. That is literally the only reason. They would have killed them had it not been for that.
If either of the two is drowning, it is certainly boxing.
