The ratings for TUF have been so appalling that there is the usual talk from the UFC about a completely revamped TUF for next year. Unfortunately for them they have been signing the same tune since the ‘revamped’ live version in 2011, the ‘revamped’ TUF 17 with a different style of story telling, the gimmicky present season, etc. It’s always the same crap but with a different wrapper. The UFC just doesn’t know how to adapt to a changing landscape.

I think a good murder on the show would be the only thing to take this out of the toilet, that or Ronda and Tate doing a lesbian x rated scene lol

I like TUF, but I do think it should change its format. The reality show gimmick that worked so well in the early aughts is dead. However, the purpose and goal of the show, being a) developing new talent for the UFC, and b) introducing, exposing, and marketing new fighters, can still be achieved.

I suggest keeping the tournament and prize format, but rather than have the fighters live in a house together, they instead have a film crew do a documentary style show on their training camps leading up to the big fight. We see how the fighters train under their normal routine, get a better idea of what their lives are actually like, and their fights can be used on their record instead of written off as exhibition matches.

Its funny I saw TRUTHspitter ranting on another site about how the ratings will “balloon back” to 500-600k. He was calling Dave Meltzer names for calling last weeks episode a low number LMAO.
