MMA Junkie reports the bonuses made from Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 40. Matt Brown was he big winner tonight earning two performance bonuses in his main event win over Erick Silva.
The bonuses were announced at the post-fight press conference.
The bonus winners were:
Matt Brown-Erick Silva: Fight of the Night
Brown and Johnny Eduardo: Performance Bonuses
All bonuses were $50,000 each with Brown doubling up for $100,000. Aside from Eduardo, Costas Philippou could have made an argument of receiving a bonus with his KO of Lorenz Larkin.
Payout Perspective:
Matt Brown was the star of the night and definitely deserved both of the bonuses. We will see how far he will ascend in the welterweight rankings. Johnny Eduardo won the other performance bonus with his upset KO of Eddie Wineland.
Wow. Cruickshank gets screwed over once again. He BETTER be getting some significant backstage bonuses.
