TUF 18 Episode 3: 639,000 viewers

September 20, 2013 by Jason Cruz 6 Comments

The third episode of TUF 18: Team Rousey v. Team Tate averaged only 639,000 viewers for the latest episode Wednesday.  It received a 0.3 rating in the key demo of adults 18-49.

Episode 1: 762,000 viewers

Episode 2: 870,000 viewers

Episode 3: 639,000 viewers

Payout Perspective:

TUF went up against Duck Dynasty, which led the night in cable ratings with 9.4 million viewers for a 4.3 rating in the 18-49 demo.  This week featured the men in the octagon.  It also featured another verbal exchange between Rousey and Tate. With next week’s fight being the women, we will see if the ratings will fluctuate.

Wow a 25% drop. I predicted this for episode 2, guess I was just 1 off. I’m thinking a new series low will be reached with a rating in the 400,000s and this season will sit in the 500-700 range.

This show doesn’t know what it wants to be… Big Brother or a show about fighting, and this is confusing a lot of viewers. Almost a full hour of fluff to see 2 amateurs fight a 3 minute fight.

Not suprising the show is weak. Next season should be good. I’m glad this season didn’t ruin TUF.

[…] We’re a month into the Ronda Rousey/Miesha Tate Ultimate Fighter series and so far, the numbers are… inconsistently consistent. Low, yes, but fluctuating. Unlike othe UFC programming on Fox networks, this is the show where the suits look at the live airing numbers plus the DVR figures. We only get a glimpse at the live airing ratings, so let’s take a look at numbers from MMA Payout about the first month: […]

Didn't know this was a thing but delighted it is.

Conor McGregor is a horrible, despicable rapist wanker and he should be the shame of Ireland. Well done The Burren

Maybe they should just call it the Ariel Helwani award and give it to other MMA journalists?
