TUF 12 ratings increase for Episode No. 3 and Best of Pride ratings

October 4, 2010 by Jason Cruz 1 Comment

MMA Payout has learned that The Ultimate Fighter earned a 1.3 hh rating for last Wednesday’s episode. It received a 1.71 rating in M18-49,  a 1.90 in M18-34, and  a 2.3 in M25-34. The episode which included an appearance by Mike Tyson had an average audience of 1.8 million viewers.

The quarter hours/hh ratings are as follows:1.3, 1.2, 1.2 and 1.3.

Best of Pride Fighting Championships which followed TUF at 11 pm reached an audience of 821,000 viewers. It received a .70 hh rating for M18-49 and a .82 for M18-34.

Payout Perspective:

The Mike Tyson appearance on TUF seemed a little forced like an Entourage cameo. Still, the ratings for TUF episode 3 were promising.

As a fan of MMA, I like the back to back shows of TUF followed by Best of Pride Fighting Championships. Pride deserves a dedicated time slot behind TUF. This week’s show included Sakuraba, Takanori Gomi and Mark Hunt.
