Jose Mendoza is a software engineer at a Fortune 500 company and a freelance writer who resides in Southern California. He received his BS in Engineering from the University of California, Irvine as well as degrees in Business Management and Computer Science. He has followed Mixed Martial Arts since the early 90’s and has written about the sport for various publications and websites.


Jason Cruz is a freelance writer and attorney licensed in Washington state and California (currently inactive). He holds a BA in History and JD from the University of Washington and a Masters in Journalism from the University of Southern California. A longtime MMA fan, he has written about the sport for various publications.


Steve Curtis has been writing about the MMA industry in both the U.S. and Japan since 2003. A regular contributor to, Curtis holds a BA (with honors) in Communications and Political Science from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Finance and Media Management from Fordham University. He works as a communications and marketing executive at a Fortune 500 company.

Tony Williams is a PhD candidate in economics at the University of Zurich.  He holds prior degrees in political science, economics, and mathematics from Florida State University, an MA in economics from Johns Hopkins University, and is expected to be awarded a MSc in social psychology from London School of Economics at the end of the year.  He has followed mixed martial arts for over seven years and currently lives in Zurich, Switzerland.

Justin Klein is an attorney at Satterlee Stephens Burke & Burke LLP in New York City where he concentrates his practice in commercial litigation and represents clients in the fight industry.  He regularly addresses current legal issues that pertain to combat sports, including efforts to legalize MMA in New York, at his Fight Lawyer website.  He is a licensed boxing manager with the New York State Athletic Commission as well as the founder and Chairman of the Board of the New York Mixed Martial Arts Initiative, a non-profit organization that gives inner city youth the opportunity to experience the emotional and physical benefits of martial arts training.  Justin lives in New York City where he trains in jiu jitsu and boxing.
